Hello there, I’m Lily Gichard also known in my life as Gich. 

Raised in the Art Deco capital of Napier, and with an older brother, I was always destined to be larger than life and make some noise.

My intermediate teacher once awarded me a certificate that said, "Most likely to become a YouTuber, or Radio Personality.” I took one of them quite literally, Here I am today living up to that award.

My journey in studying communications started at UC, where I pursued a Bachelor of Communications. However, after my first year, I realised that my true passion lay in radio, pushing me to head to Broadcasting School. The hands-on learning environment suits me as I am a hands on learner. I believe that everything happens for a reason.

I am a team member of both the on-air and digital teams at Bassline 96.1. On Air has faced me with challenges throughout and taught me adaptability and has pushed me out of my comfort zone. My role in the digital team has deepened my understanding of social media and content creation, allowing me to take risks and experiment with ideas.

I am known for my vibrant enthusiasm and positive attitude. I value feedback as a tool for growth and always strive to bring energy and cooperation. As a dedicated team player, I respect everyone's opinions and am committed to giving my best in everything I undertake.

I am ready to take on my next big adventure.
